After visiting with you and Joe down at the station when you two were building the new tanker and the new grass rig. If it hadn't been for your strong leadership Ron and Bruce and Joe and Howard this would still be the same old Fire Department like it was when Doug and Lionel run it, But thank God You guys took it over and turned it aroung to what it is today. But Ron I can see this Fire Department slipping backwards now that Robert Synder is trying to play Fire Chief. Ron if you and Joe ever leave the Fire Department they might as well shut the doors, because there will be no one that knows enough to run the Department and there will never get any more donations after you all leave. |

| Comments: | Ron, I have watched you in action and know what you had to work with when you started working at building the Northeast Lincoln County Fire Department. Ron my folks live there in your fire district and I live in Stroud and have for many years, I used to go out to my folks house and pass the fire department and the boys would just be sitting around not doing anything. Then you took over the fire department and one of the first things that you did was to lower the Iso rating which your home owners insurance is based on and my folks insurance lowered about $140.00 per year, you got all of the firefighters into the oklahoma state pension system, you started building trucks and even built a new building to house some of the trucks in, BUT I think that the most important thing that you did was to get all of the firefighters completely trained by sending them to every school that OSU had to offer and then you bought all new bunker gear and new scott air packs, new raidos for all for all of the trucks and two new folding portable water tanks,Ron I have known Milton Wolff and Randal Ethridge ever since I have lived in Stroud and both of these men are just out for themselves and don't care anything about their neighbors and have never run into anyone like you that wouldn't give the special treatment. I think that it was a shame the way that Don Sporeleder treated you and the fire department and I hope that people are smart enough to all go to the polls and vote this little ding a ling out of office because we have some of the worst roads that we have had in several years the only thing that this little guy knows how to do is to cow down to these big boys, Because he's to little to do whats right and to do anything on his own. It is obvious that you three men, along with the volunteer firefighters you recruited, have done an outstanding job of building a fire department from scratch. The only thing that Don has done was to hurt the firemen, Now I hear that Don and Paul are still trying to get their people on the Board and that's not going to happen because They are out of the picture now and don't have a say anymore. I don't bellieve that I have ever seen anyone lie anymore than Don and Paul, heck they have told so many different lies that they don't remember which one they told last. Heck when I was a volunteer firemen I would of sure quit if I would have had to work for these two assholes. I sure hope that Don Sporeleder and the other two Commissioners do the right thing and give you all the Fire Department back just as it was before Don tore it up. Ron, I have seen first hand the kind of work that you all did and all of the hard training that you guys done and it sure would be a waste of time and money to let all of that go out the window. I sincerly hope that Don and his buddies have a change of heart and put this Fire Department back as a Title 19 Fire Department and don't try and take it back to a Title 18 Fire Department and strip the guys of their Fire Department pension and their little Death benifit that they all deserve. | Comments: | Ron I checked out your web site to see your fire truck that you and Bruce built since all of this mess started, looks like you all done a good job on building your truck, I like the idea of the second pump on the back to be able to fill out of farm ponds. By the way I seen in the paper the other day where Paul Bell wrote a story, and this boy can't even get his facts straight, and he forgot to state that he was a PAID Firefighter and not a VOLUNTEER Firefighter like you all were, he also said that he had never thought about walking off the job, well that was because that was his pay check, BUT most of all he doesn't have big enough B_lls to stand up for what is right. I also thought it was funny that his own aunt had to straighten his facts and figures out. That whole bunch has told so many lies since all of this has started that I don't think that they even know the truth. | Comments: | Ron I checked out your website, looks like you've done a good job. I heard from my friend about the things that have been going on with the Fire Department in your community. Ron hang in there and stand your ground, because the way I hear it there has been a Fire Department there in your community for several years, but until you all took over the Fire Department it wasn't much. There are not very many Fire Departments in the whole state that has 100% of their Firefighters completely trained especially a Volunteer Fire Department. What this new commissioner has done to you and to your whole community is a sin, and someday he and his little group will have to answere for their actions. It's a shame that we live in a world today where most people have no backbone, and can't seem to stand up for what is right, instead of cowing down to a small group. Maybe if we all keep praying for this commissioner and his little group, GOD might soften his heart and show him where he made a mistake,and if he has a heart and is a GOD fearing person, then GOD will lay it on his heart to put this Fire Department back just the way it was before he tore it up. I still have friends their artound Cushing and they have told me about what's going on in Lincoln County. All of you people ought to be ashamed of yourselves for treating the Volunteer Fire Department the way that you are treating them. These fine men and women put their lives on the line everytime someone calls day or night and they do it all for NO PAY, just because they want to help people. My friends there tell me that these young men and women have the best training that money can buy, And I know for a fact that this has never happened before. You folks ought to get behind this group of men and women and all buy your Fire Contracts no matter what they cost and then it wouldn't hurt some of you to make a nice Donation to the Fire Department, So they can continue to be one of the BEST TRAINED Fire Departments around. | Comments: | I too attended the county commissioners meeting Jan. 5, 2009 in Chandler Okla. I can sympahize also with many of you fellow citizens as to how you felt about the decision our county comissioner, Don Sporleder made as to seating a new board of directors to the N.E. Lincoln County Fire Dept. I for one shook all three of the comissioners hands at the end of the meeting, and looked each one in the face, without stuttering and told each one, they had made a bad decision, I could sinse an agreement, But Don was the one who had to decide, and he did as we all know. I told Don I had been praying for him, and will continue to do so, as for God to lead him in his job. I believe Gods word tells us to do that, God still answers Prayer, He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. | Comments: | We had not lived here in your fire district very long until we had a pretty big fire. This fire took place in the middle of the day, I called the fire phone and it wasn't long these young men showed up and to my suprise these firemen not only put our fire out, but they also saved one of our horses that had gotten trapped. These firemen saved our home and all of our out buildings. We have nothing but good to say for these men, And I can't understand why this whole community doesn't get behind these firemen that put their lives on the line everytime they respond to a fire call. Since our fire my wife and I have purchased a fire contract for $100.00 and believe me it's well worth every dime of it, and we only have 120 acres. But believe me these men need to be brought back together as the same group again, because I have never seen a group of men work as well together as these men did. Thanks Again Fred Williams |
